In an effort to replenish the field with highly qualified special education teachers, PACE is a teacher preparation program designed to provide a supportive model to prepare paraprofessionals to be effective teachers of students with exceptionalities. This program offers tuition assistance, a supportive cohort model, tiered mentoring, an induction component, and flexible course delivery.

The Exceptional Education program at University of Central Florida is designed to prepare highly competent teachers who will assume leadership positions in teaching in the area of Exceptional Education. Our program of study concentrates on developing teachers who model effective teaching practices for students with disabilities.
